Iran adds Elon Musk-linked assets in region to military target list

TEHRAN, June 11 (YPA) – Tehran has added certain economic interests and infrastructure linked to companies owned by U.S. businessman Elon Musk in the West Asia region and the occupied Palestinian territories to its list of potential military targets.

According to the Iran’s Fars News Agency’s report on Thursday, the move comes in response to the use of Musk-related satellite and communications technologies—particularly the Starlink system—by U.S. and Israeli occupation forces in regional military operations.

The agency quoted an Iranian source as saying that U.S. military actions, supported by such technologies, amounted to violations during recent regional conflicts, including strikes on infrastructure in southern Iran.

It added that Tehran reserves the right to respond against facilities associated with these companies in the region.

The report further claimed that Starlink-related ground infrastructure exists across several regional countries, including Israel, Qatar, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman, and referenced partnerships involving private and state-linked entities in the region.

Iranian media also reiterated claims that satellite-based communications and data systems have been used in support of aggression on Iran, including surveillance and secure communications functions.
