Emirati leaks reveal behind-the-scenes details of Al-Solban camp explosions in Aden

ABU DHABI, June 11 (YPA) – Emirati leaks on Wednesday revealed serious information about the explosions that rocked the Al-Solban camp in the Sheikh Othman area in the center of Aden, southern Yemen.

Military expert Khaled Al-Nasi, who resides in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, confirmed that the explosions in the weapons depots at the “Al-Amaliqa” camp in Al-Solban were not accidental and were caused by an air strike by Saudi drones.

Al-Nasi explained that the targeting of the Al-Solban warehouses came after the brigade’s leadership refused to hand over its weapons to the “Emergency” forces loyal to Riyadh, according to the instructions of the Saudi military delegate, Falah Al-Shahrani, who considered the existence of this arsenal a direct threat to Saudi influence in Aden.

Conflicting accounts have emerged from within the corridors of the dissolved Southern Transition Council (STC) regarding the explosions at the Al-Solban camp warehouses. Sources indicate the blasts resulted from Saudi bombardment following the refusal of Salafi commander “Raid Al-Habhi”—currently in Abu Dhabi—to travel to Riyadh and hand over weapons under the “restructuring” plan.

Conversely, pro-Saudi activists accused Al-Habhi of detonating the warehouses under Emirati directives to erase evidence of a “systematic looting” of weapons, which were secretly transferred to Radfan and Dhalea in preparation for anticipated clashes.

These developments occur amidst the accelerating dismantlement of pro-UAE factions since the dissolution of the STC last January, leaving Aden on a thin line of escalating military and political tensions.
