SANAA, June 11 (YPA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in the Sanaa government has warned that the continuation of US aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran poses a serious threat to regional and international peace and security and could push the region toward a broader conflict.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the ministry said the ongoing American attacks on Iran risk dragging the region into a wider war with dangerous consequences extending beyond the Middle East.
The ministry stressed that continued US military pressure would fail to achieve its stated objectives or undermine the determination of the Iranian people. Instead, it argued, the campaign would deepen Washington’s strategic difficulties and result in further setbacks for the United States.
According to the statement, the escalation also threatens global supply chains, international trade routes, and energy markets, potentially creating wider instability in the global economy.
The ministry reaffirmed Iran’s legitimate right to defend its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security, including the right to respond to attacks targeting its territory and interests. It added that such measures could include responses against American military bases in the region.
The statement further expressed Yemen’s solidarity with Iran, affirming the support of Yemen’s leadership, government, and people for the Islamic Republic in the face of American aggression and blockade.
