31 martyred, 40 injured in intensive Israeli occupation airstrikes across Lebanon

BEIRUT, May 27 (YPA) – The Lebanese Ministry of Health declared on Wednesday that 31 people were martyred and 40 others injured following a series of intensive Israeli occupation airstrikes that carried out Tuesday on multiple towns in southern Lebanon, marking one of the deadliest days since the latest escalation began.

Lebanese and international media reported that the heavy bombardment targeted wide areas across the south, including civilian homes and residential neighborhoods.

The aggressive airstrikes hit the towns of Burj Al-Shamali, Kouthriyah Al-Ris, Habboush, Ma’araka, Salaa, Safad Al-Battikh, Rashkananieh, Nabatieh Al-Fawqa, Touline, and Majdal Salm.

Field correspondents also said the occupation’s warplanes expanded the scope of attacks through simultaneous raids targeting the towns of Froun, Shaqra, Al-Sawana, Kabrikha, Ansar, Srifa, Tair Falsayh, and Maaroub.

The escalation comes amid growing warnings of a worsening humanitarian situation in southern Lebanon due to the continued bombardment of populated areas and the increasing number of civilian casualties.
