Lebanese resistance engages in heavy fighting with Zionist forces on outskirts of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah

BEIRUT, May 26 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon (Hezbollah) carried out series of military operations against Israeli targets in response to repeated violations of the ceasefire in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah issued seven consecutive statements on Tuesday to illustrate the Resistance operations and their outcomes.

1-At dawn on Tuesday, the Islamic Resistance fighters confronted a composite “Israeli” force advancing towards Zawtar al-Sharqiyah using rocket weaponry, artillery shells, attack drones, and direct engagement, and at 08:45, they destroyed a Merkava tank with an Ababil attack drone while clashes remain ongoing.

2-The Islamic Resistance fighters targeted an “Israeli” enemy army Humvee vehicle at the riverbed in the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah with an Ababil attack drone at 06:45, resulting in the vehicle being burned.

3- The Islamic Resistance fighters targeted a gathering of “Israeli” enemy army vehicles and soldiers at the riverbed in the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah with artillery shells at 07:00.

4- The Islamic Resistance fighters targeted a gathering of “Israeli” enemy army vehicles and soldiers at the riverbed in the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah with a rocket barrage at 09:45.

5- The Islamic Resistance fighters targeted an “Israeli” enemy army D9 bulldozer at the riverbed in the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah with an Ababil attack drone at 10:00.

6-The Islamic Resistance fighters targeted an “Israeli” enemy army communications vehicle at the riverbed in the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah with an Ababil attack drone at 10:45.

7-The Islamic Resistance fighters have continued since the dawn of today to target “Israeli” enemy forces at the riverbed, the river road, and near the water tank in the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, as well as at the riverbed in the town of Yahmar al-Shaqif, using rocket barrages and artillery shells.
