Foreign military experts arrive in Aden amid Saudi arrangements to deploy air defense system

ADEN, May 23 (YPA) – Informed sources reported on Saturday the arrival of a delegation of foreign military experts (presumably Pakistani nationals) accompanied by Saudi officers in Aden city, in southern Yemen.

The delegation has settled in the Ma’ashiq Presidential Palace amid strict security arrangements.

This move follows the Saudi forces’ deployment of military trucks carrying closed containers into the palace last week, signaling that Riyadh has actively begun establishing and deploying a new air defense system in “sensitive and strategic” sites, including the vicinity of Ma’ashigh and the Saudi-led Coalition Command Camp in Al-Buraiqah area.

Observers view these reinforcements as directly aimed at securing the return of the President of the “Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi,” currently residing in Riyadh, and neutralizing the threat of drones belonging to factions loyal to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), following recent threats by STC-aligned factions to strike camps of Saudi-backed forces if any military parade is held to celebrate the anniversary of Yemeni Unity.
