TEHRAN, May 22 (YPA) – The naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Friday that 35 commercial vessels crossed the Strait of Hormuz during the past 24 hours under coordination and security supervision by Iranian forces.
In a statement, the vessels included oil tankers, container ships, and other commercial carriers that reportedly obtained the necessary permits and coordinated with Iranian naval authorities before transit.
The statement added that Iranian naval forces continue to secure navigation routes in the Strait of Hormuz despite what it described as instability caused by recent U.S. military actions in the region, emphasizing the importance of maintaining safe maritime traffic and global trade flow.
