Israeli soldiers, including officers, injured in southern Lebanon drone attack

BEIRUT, May 22 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army announced on Thursday that seven military personnel, including two officers, were injured following the explosion of an explosive-laden drone in southern Lebanon, amid ongoing tensions along the border.

According to an occupation military statement, one soldier sustained serious injuries, while a field officer and two additional soldiers were moderately wounded in the incident. The army added that another officer and two soldiers suffered minor injuries.

The statement did not specify the exact location or timing of the attack. However, the incident comes as Lebanese resistance groups continue to report attacks targeting occupation troop gatherings in southern Lebanon.

In a related development, the occupation military announced on Wednesday that the commander of the 401st Brigade, Colonel Meir Biderman, was seriously injured, along with several other personnel who sustained moderate and minor wounds in a separate incident in southern Lebanon.
