Sanaa government to establish industrial zones in Hamdan

SANAA, May 21 (YPA) – The Minister of Transport and Public Works in Sanaa government, Mohammed Quhim, and the Head of the General Investment Authority, Mohammed Ishaq, inspected on Wednesday several proposed sites for the establishment of industrial zones in Hamdan district, Sana’a Governorate.

During the visit, they were briefed by the Director of Public Works in the governorate, Engineer Mohammed Ashiyah, and the Director of Public Works in Hamdan district, Engineer Abed Shaya, on the district’s investment potential and its suitability for hosting industrial and development projects.

The officials reviewed planned projects and proposed expansion plans aimed at strengthening the investment climate and localizing industries, in efforts to support the national economy and generate new employment opportunities.

Quhim reaffirmed the government’s commitment to facilitating investment procedures and removing obstacles to the implementation of industrial and development projects, stressing the ministry’s efforts to simplify procedures and enhance cooperation with the private sector, in accordance with leadership directives.

For his part, Mohammed Ishaq reaffirmed the General Investment Authority’s commitment to fostering an attractive investment environment by offering incentives and facilitation measures to expand industrial activity and encouraging domestic capital to invest in productive projects that support sustainable development.
