Seven Palestinian civilians injured, including children, in Israeli drone strikes across Gaza
GAZA, May 20 (YPA) – Seven Palestinians, including three children, were injured overnight and early Wednesday as a result of Israeli shelling that targeted different areas in the Gaza Strip, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported, citing sources
According to the sources, the Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance crews transported five wounded individuals, including three children, to Al-Shifa Hospital in western Gaza City after an Israeli drone strike targeted a house on Al-Nasr Street in the western part of the city.
They added that medical teams also transported two other wounded individuals to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis after Israeli warplanes targeted a group of civilians near the intersection of Street 5 in the Al-Mawasi area, west of the city.
Israeli artillery also shelled eastern areas of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, as well as areas west of Rafah. Meanwhile, a series of explosions were heard, resulting from Israeli military demolitions of residential buildings in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of Gaza City.
Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday that the death toll had risen to 72,772 civilians, with 172,707 injured since the start of the offensive on October 7, 2023.
The same sources added that the number of fatalities since the ceasefire was violated on October 11 had risen to 880, while the number of wounded had reached 2,605.
