Lebanese Resistance targets gathering of Israeli enemy army, vehicles

BEIRUT, May 20 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon announced, on Wednesday, that it targeted a Merkava tank and a gathering of Israeli vehicles and soldiers in the south of the country.

In two statements, it said the first operation took place at 11:00 with artillery shells on a gathering of Israeli soldiers and vehicles near Deir Siryan, and the second at 12:20 with a drone strike that hit a Merkava tank in Taybeh.

The resistance confirmed that the two attacks come in response to Israel’s violation of the ceasefire and its attacks on southern villages that resulted in civilian casualties, as part of Operation Protective Edge, stressing the continuation of its operations in response to violations of sovereignty and the targeting of civilians.
