Over 72,000 Palestinians martyred in Gaza since Oct 2023

GAZA, May 18 (YPA) – The Gaza-based Ministry of Health said on Monday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression has risen to 72,769, with 172,704 people injured, since October 7, 2023.

In its daily statistical update, the ministry said hospitals across the Gaza Strip received six fatalities and 40 injured individuals over the past 24 hours.

It added that since the ceasefire on October 11, 877 people have been killed, 2,602 injured, and 776 bodies recovered.

The ministry also stated that a number of victims remain trapped under rubble or in inaccessible areas, as emergency and civil defense teams continue to face difficulties reaching them.
