Gaza Health Ministry: 13 killed, 57 injured in past 48 hours

GAZA, May 16 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Saturday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 72,757 martyrs and 172,645 injured since the beginning of the war on October 7, 2023.

In its daily report, the ministry said that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 13 martyrs (including one who died from previous injuries) and 57 injuries during the past 48 hours.

It added that the total number of martyrs since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 870, while the total number of injuries reached 2,543. In addition, 771 bodies have been recovered.

The ministry also noted that some victims are still trapped under rubble and on roads, amid the inability of ambulance and rescue teams to reach them at this time.
