Zionist forces continue ceasefire violations across Gaza Strip

GAZA, May 16 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army continues to violate the ceasefire agreement on its 219th day across various areas of the Gaza Strip, carrying out demolitions and artillery shelling in eastern Gaza.

Palestinian sources reported that a residential apartment in the Al-Rimal neighborhood west of Gaza City was also hit, leaving several people dead and others injured, according to Palestinian sources.

Eyewitnesses said an Israeli helicopter opened fire toward areas east of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza and military vehicles also fired northeast of the camp.

In the south, Israeli artillery shelled the city of Rafah.

In Khan Younis, occupation forces demolished buildings east of the city and fired in the same area.

In Gaza City, Israeli naval boats opened fire along the coast, while artillery shelling hit the eastern areas.

On Friday evening, seven Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in a strike on a residential apartment and a vehicle in Gaza City.
