Hezbollah’s air defenses confront Israeli warplanes

BEIRUT, May 15 (YPA) – The air defense units of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon ( Hezbollah)  confronted aircraft and drones belonging to the “Israeli” enemy army in the skies of southern the country with surface-to-air missiles.

Hezbollah issued two separate statements outlining the details of the aerial confrontations and their outcomes.

First statement

In defense of Lebanon and its people, and in response to the “Israeli” enemy’s violation of the ceasefire and its breach of Lebanese airspace, the Islamic Resistance fighters confronted at 15:00 and 18:30 yesterday, Thursday 14-05-2026, aircraft and drones belonging to the “Israeli” enemy army in the skies of southern Lebanon with surface-to-air missiles.

Second statement

In defense of Lebanon and its people, and in response to the “Israeli” enemy’s violation of the ceasefire and its violation of Lebanese airspace, the Islamic Resistance fighters confronted at 16:15 on Friday 15-05-2026 a helicopter belonging to the “Israeli” enemy army in the skies of Al-Bayyada town in southern Lebanon with a surface-to-air missile, forcing it to withdraw.
