Sanaa FM condemns Ben-Gvir’s Al-Aqsa Mosque incursion
SANAA, May 15 (YPA) – Yemen’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sanaa strongly condemned on Friday the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli occupation’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir accompanied by groups of Israeli settlers.
In a statement, the ministry described the move as a provocation to Muslims and a violation of the sanctity of the holy site and international law.
The statement warned that continued incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque by the occupation’s officials and settlers could further escalate tensions and undermine regional and international stability.
It also criticized the limited response of Arab and Islamic countries to repeated incidents at the mosque, saying that statements of condemnation alone have encouraged further violations and incursions.
The ministry’s statement called on regional countries to adopt stronger positions aimed at ending attacks on Palestinian holy sites and pressuring the occupation to halt its military operations, blockade, and occupation of Palestinian territories.
It reaffirmed Yemen’s support for the Palestinian people and their cause, stressing its backing for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.
