GAZA, May 15 (YPA) – A Palestinian man died from wounds on Friday in Israeli occupation’s shelling in various parts of the Gaza Strip, despite the ceasefire agreement.
Local sources said that the occupation forces targeted a mourning gathering in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, according to Sanad News Agency.
The occupation’s military vehicles also opened fire on areas in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City, while artillery shelling targeted western Rafah, the Sheikh Nasser neighborhood, and several areas east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
On Thursday, the Ministry of Health in Gaza declared that the number of Palestinians killed by occupation fire since the ceasefire took effect on October 10 had risen to 857, with 2,486 others injured.
Meanwhile, Palestinian officials described the incidents as repeated violations of the truce agreement.
The ceasefire in Gaza came into force on October 10 following more than two years of war and large-scale destruction in the territory. However, reports of daily exchanges of fire and military incidents have continued since the agreement was implemented.
