BEIRUT, May 14 (YPA) – Three people were martyred and several others injured on Thursday in a series of Israeli occupation’s airstrikes targeting multiple towns in southern Lebanon, amid continued violations of the temporary ceasefire agreement.
Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that two people were killed in airstrike carried out by the occupation’s warplanes on the Ezzeddine residential complex in the town of Srifa, which was completely destroyed. Civil defense teams later recovered the victims’ bodies from beneath the rubble.
Another strike on the town of Al-Zrariyeh killed one person and wounded two others, while additional raids on Kafarmelki and areas between Breiqa and Al-Zrariyeh left several civilians injured.
The agency said Israeli strikes also targeted the town of Yahmar in the Western Bekaa, destroying a fuel station, while further occupation’s attacks hit towns in the Nabatieh and Bint Jbeil districts, including Qusaiba, Tafahta, Froun, Ghandooriya, and Zoutar.
The occupation’s artillery shelling was also reported in the town of Kounine.
Since early March, Israel has intensified its military operations across Lebanon, targeting towns, villages, and civilian infrastructure, causing heavy casualties and mass displacement.
Although a temporary ceasefire came into effect in mid-April, Lebanese officials said the occupation forces continue to carry out near-daily violations of the agreement.
