Huge blast heard near downtown Cairo

SANAA, Aug. 6 (YPA) – A huge blast was heard near the Egyptian capital on Monday morning, Egyptian media reported.

The car explosion took place under the 6th October Bridge, in Dokki district of Giza city.

According to the “Al-Ahram” Egyptian newspaper, it said that ambulances rushed to the place of the incident immediately to evacuate and transport the injured people, noting that the incident caused a partial halt in the movement of cars.

No further information about the incident was given.
