Lebanese resistance steps up attacks on Israeli occupation tanks, vehicles in southern Lebanon

LEBANON, May 11 (YPA) – The Lebanese Resistance announced on Monday the execution of a series of military operations targeting gatherings and vehicles belonging to the Israeli occupation army across southern Lebanon, confirming direct hits.

The operations saw a heavy deployment of aerial weaponry, as the resistance targeted occupation soldier gatherings at the outskirts of Deir Siriane, the vicinity of the Jal al-Alam site, and the town of Al-Bayyadah using soaring dive drones.

These aerial strikes further extended to the destruction of two “Merkava” tanks in Jal al-Alam and Al-Bayyadah, alongside various military vehicles—including a D9 bulldozer, a Humvee, and engineering vehicles—in the towns of Naqoura and Tayr Harfa.

In conjunction with the drone strikes, the resistance utilized missile systems to shell a gathering of vehicles and soldiers in the town of Rishaf with a rocket barrage, while successfully intercepting an “Israeli” drone in the skies over Tyre using a surface-to-air missile.

These coordinated strikes resulted in confirmed casualties among occupation troops and caused a large fire to break out in a fuel tanker following the targeting of a military assembly in Tayr Harfa.
