Israeli helicopter disabled by anti-drone net in southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, May 11 (YPA) – An Israeli occupation’s military helicopter assigned to evacuate wounded soldiers malfunctioned after becoming entangled in a defensive net installed by Israeli occupation forces to counter drones launched by Hezbollah.

Israeli Channel “Hadshut for Le Tzenzora” reported on Telegram that the net, deployed as part of measures against drone attacks, disabled the helicopter during an evacuation mission in southern Lebanon.

The occupation army later confirmed that a technical malfunction prevented the helicopter from taking off after landing in the evacuation area, adding that another aircraft was dispatched to complete the evacuation operation successfully.

Meanwhile, three occupation soldiers were reportedly injured in an explosive drone attack targeting forces operating in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah, for its part, has continued near-daily drone operations against Israeli forces inside Lebanese territory, saying the attacks are in response to ongoing Israeli military actions.
