Abu Obaida praises heroic act in Qalandia camp
GAZA, May 11 (YPA) – Al-Qassam Brigades spokesperson Abu Obaida on Monday praised a heroic operation that Ayman al-Hashlamon carried out during clashes with Israeli occupation forces amid a raid on the Qalandia Camp, north of occupied city of Al Quds.
In a press statement, Abu Obaida said the confrontation by al-Hashlamon, along with the heroic response by Abdul Halim Hammad against the occupation’s soldiers in Silwad, reflected growing resistance in the occupied West Bank.
He also appreciated the steadfast defense of Palestinian communities against attacks by Israeli settlers in several areas.
The spokesperson added that such acts were consistent with the history of armed resistance in the West Bank and represented popular rejection of occupation and normalization with Israeli occupation.
Abu Obaida further claimed that attempts over the years to reshape Palestinian identity had failed and would ultimately backfire.
The spokesperson also urged Palestinian youth in the occupied West Bank to confront Israeli forces and settlers by all available means and to resist efforts to impose new realities on the ground.
