Islamic resistance conducts military operations against Israeli occupation assemblies in Southern Lebanon
BEIRUT, May 07 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon announced on Thursday that it has carried out a series of military operations targeting “Israeli” enemy army positions.
According to official statements, these operations included striking a command center and a “Merkava” tank in the town of Al-Bayyadah using “suicide drones,” in addition to targeting a vehicle assembly in the town of Shamaa with a concentrated rocket barrage.
These field developments coincide with admissions from the Hebrew newspaper Maariv, which reported that eight soldiers were wounded yesterday in various incidents involving drone strikes in southern Lebanon. Such reports underscore a growing concern within the Israeli security establishment regarding the “drone phenomenon,” which is increasingly viewed as a strategic threat extending beyond the northern borders.
To further substantiate these engagements, the resistance’s military media released footage documenting a specialized operation from May 3, 2026, featuring a squadron of “suicide drones” targeting enemy gatherings in the town of Naqoura.
