Washington approves massive arms deals for UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Israeli occupation

WASHINGTON, May 02 (YPA) – The U.S. State Department has announced the approval of a series of major arms deals for several countries in the region, with a total value exceeding $7.6 billion.

The agreements aim to bolster defense capabilities and precision-strike systems.

Breakdown of Approved Deals:

  • Qatar: Secured the largest share with two deals; the first valued at $4.01 billion for “Patriot” missile systems (PAC-2 and PAC-3), and the second at $992.4 million for Advanced Precision Kill Weapon Systems (APKWS).
  • Kuwait: A $2.5 billion deal for the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) to enhance air defense coordination.
  • UAE: Approval for APKWS and supporting equipment valued at $147.6 million.
  • Israeli entity: A $992.4 million deal for the supply of Advanced Precision Kill Weapon Systems (APKWS).

These approvals underscore Washington’s strategic focus on enhancing precision military operations and integrating the air defenses of its regional allies through advanced command networks.
