Gaza Health Ministry: Death toll rises to 72,608 since start of Israeli aggression

GAZA, May 02 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza Strip announced on Saturday that the total death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,608 martyrs, with 172,445 injured.

According to the ministry’s daily statistical report, hospitals received 7 martyrs and 26 injured over the past few hours. Meanwhile, the toll since the ceasefire on October 11, 2025, has reached 828 martyrs and 2,342 injured.

The ministry highlighted that an unknown number of victims remain trapped under rubble and on roadways, as ambulance and civil defense crews continue to face extreme difficulties reaching them.
