Iran submits new negotiation proposal to US via Pakistani mediator

TEHRAN, May 01 (YPA) – Iran announced on Friday that it has submitted a new negotiation proposal to the United States through Pakistan, in an effort to break the deadlock in stalled talks and de-escalate military tensions in the region.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the proposal, delivered to the Pakistani mediator on Thursday evening, prioritizes “ending the war and achieving sustainable peace.”

These diplomatic moves come under a temporary ceasefire agreement in effect since April 8, following a major military confrontation that began with a joint US-Israeli escalation against Iran in February, to which Tehran responded with operation “True Promise 4.”

This step is viewed as a decisive turning point aimed at overcoming the “impossible conditions” that hindered previous negotiations and will likely determine the future of the regional truce.
