Two killed in Israeli airstrike targeting Lebanon

BEIRUT, April 30 (YPA) – Two people were killed and another injured on Thursday following an Israeli airstrike on the town of Shahabiya in the Tyre district, amid a continued breach of the temporary ceasefire deal.

According to National News Agency, the strike on Shahabiya resulted in two fatalities and one wounded individual.

Since March 2, Israeli aggression on Lebanon have intensified, with repeated strikes affecting towns, villages, and civilian infrastructure, leading to significant casualties and large-scale displacement estimated at around 1.5 million people.

Although a temporary ceasefire agreement came into effect in mid-April, local reports indicate that violations have continued on a near-daily basis, sustaining tensions on the ground.
