SANAA, April 27 (YPA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Sanaa has warned that the continued Israeli aggression against Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran could drag the region into a broader war that threatens international peace and security.
In a statement condemning the ongoing Zionist aggression against Lebanon and Palestine, the ministry noted that the Israeli enemy is attempting to exploit the world’s preoccupation with the Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran in order to advance its malicious objectives in Palestine and Lebanon.
The ministry stressed that the continuous bombardment targeting the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including direct attacks on residential neighborhoods, settler assaults and incursions, as well as repeated attacks on Lebanese border towns, constitute a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.
It added that these actions confirm the aggressive nature of the Israeli entity and its determination to continue escalation and destabilize security and stability in the region and across the world.
The ministry reaffirmed that Palestine remains the nation’s first trench and primary line of defense, stressing that the enemy’s failure in Palestine would lead to the collapse of its schemes in the rest of the region.
The statement renewed the Yemen’s firm and unwavering support for the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples and their legitimate right to defend themselves and confront Israeli aggression.
