TEHRAN, April 21 (YPA) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei on Tuesday condemned the arrest of several individuals by the United Arab Emirates, describing the move as based on “flimsy and baseless pretexts.”
Quoting the official Iranian news agency, Baqaei said that “such unreliable allegations and the creation of an anti-Iran atmosphere will not divert attention from the direct responsibility of those supporting the American and Zionist aggressors in what he described as military aggression against Iran.”
He added that these claims do not contribute to strengthening trust between regional states, urging the UAE government to respect human rights and human dignity, avoid what he described as retaliatory actions, and adhere to the principles of good neighbourliness.
