Iranian-mediated comprehensive ceasefire announced in Lebanon

BEIRUT, April 16 (YPA) – Hezbollah MP Hassan Fadlallah announced that the Resistance has been informed by the Iranian Ambassador in Beirut of the success of Tehran’s efforts in securing a comprehensive ceasefire in Lebanon and returning to the original “Islamabad Agreement.”

Fadlallah explained that the United States has pledged to notify both the Israeli occupation’s Prime Ministry and the Lebanese Presidency of the decision.

 He noted that the resumption of negotiations between Iran and the US is contingent upon the fulfillment of this commitment, stressing that the Resistance will closely monitor actual “Israeli” compliance with the cessation of hostilities on the ground.
