Pakistan army chief arrives in Iran leading high-level delegation

TEHRAN, April 15 (YPA) – The Pakistani army chief, accompanied by the interior minister and a senior delegation, arrived on Wednesday in Tehran as part of ongoing mediation efforts between Iran and the United States, according to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said Tehran was expected to host a Pakistani delegation to continue consultations initiated in Islamabad.

Baghaei reiterated that Iran’s nuclear program is peaceful, accusing Washington of misleading the international community.

He also affirmed Iran’s ability to secure the Strait of Hormuz in coordination with regional countries, warning that any support for hostile parties would be considered incitement and subject to accountability.
