Italy suspends defense agreement with Israeli occupation

ROMA, April 14 (YPA) – Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced the suspension of a defense cooperation agreement with Israeli occupation, which included military equipment exchanges and joint technological research.

Speaking at an event in Verona, Meloni said the government had decided to halt the automatic renewal of the agreement under current circumstances.

She added that the move comes as part of a broader assessment of recent developments, without specifying the duration of the suspension or outlining further steps.

The agreement covered cooperation in military and technical fields, including the exchange of expertise and defense-related research.
