OCCUPIED PALESTINE, April 14 (YPA) – Israeli occupation prison authorities have blocked the delivery of hundreds of solidarity postcards to Palestinian female prisoners, a move that reveals a systematic policy of isolating detainees and cutting them off from the outside world.
These cards were part of an international campaign led by churches and an Islamic center in 15 US states, in partnership with the organization “Friends of Sabeel – North America”, in which more than a thousand cards bearing messages of solidarity, prayer and protest were sent to the detainees of Israel’s Damon prison, but all of them were prevented from reaching their intended recipients.
The prison authorities have deliberately prevented all forms of communication with the female prisoners, including messages of support, as part of a policy aimed at keeping them in complete isolation and preventing them from knowing anything about the outside world.
