Earthquake strikes southeast of Bajil in Hodeida

DHAMAR, April 12 (YPA) – The Seismological and Volcanological Observatory Center in Dhamar Governorate announced on Sunday that a tremor was recorded southeast of Bajil District in Hodeida Governorate.

The center’s director, Engineer Mohammed Hussein Al-Houthi, reported that monitoring stations recorded a light tremor measuring 2.4 on the Richter scale.

He explained that the earthquake occurred at 12:07 AM, 24 kilometers southeast of Bajil District in Hodeida.

Residents of those areas, as well as other areas in Hajjah Governorate, reported feeling the tremor in the past few hours.
