GAZA, UDS, April 11 (YPA) – Israeli occupation’s shelling struck a group of civilians in the Bureij refugee camp and a populated tent south of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, killing eight Palestinian civilians, including a journalist, and injuring others.
The Palestinian news agency “Sanad” reported that enemy drones targeted a tent in the Al-Mashaleh area south of Deir al-Balah, resulting in one death and multiple injuries. A child was wounded in the foot by fire from Israeli military vehicles east of Bureij camp.
Later, the occupation’s shelling in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza, caused further casualties.
A 14-year-old boy succumbed to wounds he had sustained months earlier from Israeli bombardment in central Gaza. Before noon, Israeli artillery targeted areas east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza and northeast of Bureij camp in the central strip.
“Sanad” noted ongoing fire from Israeli helicopters east of Gaza City and Khan Yunis, accompanied by tank fire. Residents reported two Israeli raids on Al-Bureij camp at dawn, which killed journalist Mohammed Sayed. Heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles also targeted areas east of Bureij.
In a related incident, three civilians were injured after Israeli forces threw a bomb at a displaced persons’ tent in the Western Ruqab neighborhood of Bani Suheila, east of Khan Yunis.
