SANAA, April. 12 (YPA) – The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Sana’a, Abdul Wahid Abu Ras, met, on Sunday, with the head of the Swiss Doctors Without Borders mission, Disma Maina.
During the meeting, they discussed areas of joint cooperation between Yemen and the organization and ways to develop and strengthen them.
Abu Ras praised the humanitarian and medical efforts exerted by the organization’s mission in Yemen, stressing the importance of redoubling efforts in the coming period to meet the growing humanitarian needs resulting from the continued aggression and blockade imposed on the country for the twelfth consecutive year, as well as the hostile policies towards Yemen.
He also reiterated the readiness of the Change and Construction Government to provide all necessary facilities to organizations operating in Yemen and their staff, enabling them to perform their humanitarian tasks optimally.
For her part, Desma Maina reviewed the organization’s plan for the current year and the aspects of support required from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant authorities, appreciating the role the Ministry is playing in this regard.
She also affirmed that the organization will spare no effort in providing all possible humanitarian and health support to the Yemeni people to help alleviate their suffering.
