BEIRUT, April 10 (YPA) – Human Rights Watch (HRW) reported that more than 300 people were killed in large-scale Israeli strikes on Lebanon on April 8, which also destroyed key bridges leading to the country’s south.
The organization warned that the destruction of bridges and infrastructure, particularly in southern Lebanon, is isolating tens of thousands of residents and severely cutting off access to essential food and healthcare.
Human Rights Watch also called for an arms embargo on Israel, citing concerns over the scale and impact of the attacks.
On April 8, Israeli occupation forces launched over 100 strikes across Lebanon in just 10 minutes, killing and wounding hundreds just as the US-Iran ceasefire came into effect – making it the deadliest day of the current attacks on Lebanon.
The developments came on the same day Pakistan announced a ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States, which was said to include Lebanon and take effect immediately. However, the United States later stated that the agreement didn’t include Lebanon.
