Casualties reported in Gaza as Israeli forces intensify attacks

GAZA, Aug. 25 (YPA) – A Palestinian man has succumbed to wounds sustained days ago in an Israeli bombardment targeting the Al-Amal neighborhood west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, as Israeli forces continued attacks across the Strip on Tuesday, according to Palestinian media sources.

The sources identified the victim as Jamal Suleiman Marjan.

Two Palestinians were wounded by Israeli military fire in Hamad City, north of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, while Israeli tanks opened heavy fire toward tents housing displaced Palestinians east of the city, with gunfire also hitting several of its towers.

Israeli military vehicles also opened heavy fire east of Khan Younis, while occupation forces fired illumination flares over the Al-Tina Street area south of the city.

Israeli warships opened fire northwest of Khan Younis, while illumination flares were fired east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.

Israeli artillery also shelled areas north of Bureij refugee camp and around the Wadi Gaza Bridge in central Gaza.

Meanwhile, Israeli warships opened fire northwest of Gaza City.

The Israeli occupation forces continued their escalation across the Gaza Strip, carrying out shelling, demolitions, destruction, and forced evacuations.
