TEHRAN, April 08 (YPA) – Iran’s Ambassador to the UN in Geneva, Ali Bahreini, has warned of “dire consequences” following continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon.
Bahreini emphasized that Tehran is approaching negotiations with Washington with caution and remains on “high military alert.”
In a significant escalation, Ibrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament’s National Security Committee, called for an immediate halt to shipping traffic in the Strait of Hormuz in response to the aggression.
On the diplomatic front, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi discussed regional security with the Pakistani Army Chief, criticizing the Israeli occupation’s failure to adhere to the agreement that was intended to cover Lebanon and all active fronts.
