8 killed, 22 injured in Israeli shelling targeting Sidon in southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, April 08 (YPA) – Lebanon’s Ministry of Health reported that eight people were killed and 22 others injured in Israeli strikes on the southern city of Sidon.

According to media sources, an Israeli drone struck a civilian vehicle at dawn on the seaside corniche of Sidon, resulting in the killing of 8 people and the injury of 22 others, in a preliminary toll. Israeli warplanes also carried out an airstrike on an ambulance vehicle in the town of Al-Qulaylah.

Another Israeli airstrike targeted Hiram Hospital in the city of Tyre, causing extensive damage to the building, including patient rooms and the hospital entrance, which collapsed onto parked cars.

Israeli aircraft and artillery also targeted the towns of Qana, Srifa, Barghaz, Al-Hinniyah, Al-Mansouri, Rabb Thalathin, Kafra, Al-Jmayjmeh, Al-Sharqiya, Majdal Selm, Ras Al-Ain, Qabrikha, Shaqra, Al-Rayhan, and Dbine in southern Lebanon, as well as the towns of Sohmor and Yahmar in the western Bekaa.
