Islamic Jihad congratulates Iran on ‘historic victory’ over ‘US-Israeli’ aggression

GAZA, April 08 (YPA) – The Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement expressed congratulations on Wednesday to the Iranian people and leadership, describing a “historic victory” over the Israeli-American aggression, following 40 days of intense fighting.

In a statement, the group said that Iran and its armed forces compelled the aggressors to accept a ceasefire under Iranian conditions.

It also claimed that earlier threats to severely weaken Iran had failed, portraying the outcome as evidence of the collapse of the stated objectives of the offensive.

The group said these developments represent a significant moment for the oppressed peoples in the region and around the world, particularly the Palestinian people, expressing confidence that continued resistance would ultimately lead to victory.

The statement comes after the United States and Iran announced earlier Wednesday that they had agreed to a two-week ceasefire, following 40 days of war involving Washington and Tel Aviv against Tehran.
