TEHRAN, April 04 (YPA) – The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Saturday the targeting of a vessel suspected of links to the Israeli occupation in the Strait of Hormuz, as military operations enter their 36th day.
Tehran confirmed that its advanced air defense systems successfully downed two US fighter jets: an F-15E over Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, and an A-10 in the Arabian Gulf, describing the move as a challenge to US air superiority.
US media reports confirmed the rescue of two crew members, while a third remains missing. Additionally, a Black Hawk helicopter reportedly came under fire during a search and rescue mission but remained operational.
US and Israeli occupation forces targeted petrochemical facilities in the Mahshahr region of southwestern Iran, causing significant damage. Meanwhile, falling debris and drone strikes were reported in some Gulf states, resulting in multiple casualties.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Tehran does not reject the upcoming mediation efforts in Islamabad, emphasizing that the primary focus remains on securing a permanent end to the war.
