Israeli occupation halts military purchases from France

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, April. 01 (YPA) – The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced a halt to all military purchases from France, claiming that it had taken steps that harmed the security of the Israeli occupation state.

In a statement, the spokesman of the ministry said that “Israel aims, through this decision, to strengthen its defense independence and reduce its reliance on foreign suppliers.”

The decision came after France’s recognition of a Palestinian state in September 2025, and media reports stated that Paris had not allowed Israeli planes carrying munitions to pass through its airspace.

Fot his part, US President Donald Trump criticized these reports, claiming that France “offered no assistance during the war with Iran.”
