Death toll from Israeli genocide in Gaza rises to 72,289, with 172,040 wounded

GAZA, April 01 (YPA) – The death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to72,289, with 172,040 injured since the start of the aggression in October 2023, according to medical sources.

Medical sources said that during the past 24 hours, four bodies and 12 injured individuals were brought to hospitals in Gaza.

Since the ceasefire went into effect on October 11, the number of those killed and injured has reached 713 and 1,940, respectively. At least 756 bodies have also been recovered from under the rubble.

This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.
