OCCUPIED QUDS, March 31 (YPA) – Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli occupation’s prime minister, announced that his government is working to build new regional alliances with Arab countries, which he said have shown readiness to fight alongside the Israeli occupation, in light of the escalating war in the region.
During a closed government session, Netanyahu revealed secret talks he had conducted over the years with Arab leaders. During these talks, he warned them of what he described as the “Iranian expansionist project,” claiming that he had alerted them to Iran’s efforts to control their lands and overthrow their regimes. He pointed out that these warnings did not receive a response at the time, before they “began today to realize their validity,” as he put it.
Netanyahu considered that these shifts pave the way for the formation of new alliances in the region, signaling deep geopolitical changes that could redraw the map of regional alignments.
Regarding the post-war phase, Netanyahu expressed his hope that the United States would succeed in opening the Strait of Hormuz by military force if necessary, emphasizing the need to bring about a “radical change” to prevent Iran from controlling this vital corridor.
He also proposed an alternative economic vision based on establishing a pipeline network to transport oil and gas from Saudi Arabia to Mediterranean ports, stating that the project represents a “common global interest.”
On the military front, Netanyahu noted that targeting Iranian energy facilities could deliver an impactful blow to the stability of the regime in Tehran and affect its internal structure, as he described it, amid escalating talk about options for direct confrontation in the region.
