Israeli Knesset set to approve prisoner execution law

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, March 30 (YPA) – The Israeli Knesset is set on Monday to give final approval to a law allowing the execution of prisoners.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club said the proposed “execution of prisoners” bill is expected to move to its final stage of approval through the second and third readings in the Israeli parliament later today.

In a statement, the group said the current Israeli government has tied its political survival to passing the law, claiming it has become a central policy priority.

The group added that the legislation is not new, but rather rooted in the broader legal framework inherited in part from the British Mandate period.
