Al-Fareh: The Strait of Hormuz is a gateway to victory or defeat

SANAA, March 28 (YPA) -Mohamed Al-Fareh, a senior member of the Ansarullah political bureau, said that the Strait of Hormuz represents a vital artery that determines the contours of victory or defeat in the current conflict, stressing that the current United States administration is mainly focused on this strategic maritime corridor.

In a post on the platform X titled “The Strait of Hormuz Is a Gateway to Victory or Defeat,” al-Fareh said that reopening the Strait of Hormuz would provide Donald Trump with a way to end the war without significant commitments, allowing him to escape the predicament he has become caught in.

He added that Trump’s primary focus today is on this vital waterway.

Al-Fareh questioned the credibility of US claims of military achievements in the region, asking how Washington could speak of victory while Iran maintains firm control over what he described as the world’s most important maritime corridor—adding that the situation, would be seen globally as a defeat for the United States.

He warned that any Iranian concession over the Strait of Hormuz would give a “free victory” to the United States and Israel, allowing them to exit the war without incurring significant costs or making any concessions.

Al-Fareh concluded his remarks by warning that any Iranian retreat from control over the Strait of Hormuz would give enemies an opportunity to regroup and prepare for renewed escalation as soon as possible, while also leaving the door open to assassinations and further acts of aggression whenever conditions allow.
