Massive “No Kings” protests set to take place across US

WASHINGTON, March 27 (YPA) –Large-scale “No Kings” protests are set to take place across the United States on Saturday, March 28, highlighting growing public opposition to President Donald Trump’s policies, particularly on immigration and the war on Iran.

According to US media, organizers expect tens of thousands of participants at more than 3,000 events nationwide, with a strong concentration in northeast Ohio, where dozens of marches are scheduled from Avon Lake to Ashtabula, Cuyahoga Falls, and Canton.

The main rally is set for 1 p.m. local time at Free Stamp Plaza in Cleveland’s Willard Park, where thousands are expected to gather to protest what they describe as “authoritarian” tendencies within the Trump administration, as well as the expanding role of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and concerns over the war’s impact on fuel prices.

Organizers say turnout could surpass last year’s demonstrations, which drew tens of thousands, while activists from the group “Mobilizing Voices in Northeast Ohio” continue to plan weekly protests, weather permitting.

The protests come amid declining approval ratings for Trump and growing opposition to potential military action against Iran, adding momentum to the demonstrations.
