Local official survives assassination attempt in Abyan

ABYAN, March. 17 (YPA) – The Deputy Head of the General Authority for Agricultural Research and Extension, Mohammed Salem Al-Khashaa, survived an assassination attempt by unknown gunmen in Al-Koud area of ​​Abyan governorate, informed sources reported.

The sources stated that gunmen intercepted Al-Khashaa’s car, while he was heading to Aden province, and opened fire, but he and his companions miraculously escaped unharmed.

The incident has been widely condemned, with calls for the Saudi-backed authorities to uncover the perpetrators and work to strengthen security and stability.
