Saudi-backed factions loot shops of people from northern provinces in Shabwa

SHABWA, March 12 (YPA) – Armed elements belonging to the Saudi-aligned “Shabwa Defense” factions stormed and looted commercial shops owned by citizens from northern provinces in the Al-Arin area of Shabwa Governorate, a human rights source reported.

The source stated that the gunmen used force to terrorize shopkeepers and seize goods based on regional pretexts, triggering a state of panic amid the security chaos currently affecting the governorate.

For their part, the affected tradesmen called on the Saudi-backed authorities to launch an urgent investigation, hold those involved in the looting and intimidation accountable, and ensure the return of property along with fair compensation.
